THE FIRST INTERVIEW!!

DAY STARTED

This is so difficult to explain in words the experience of first interview regarding a job, training, article ship or internship but one thing is for sure that it will be remember in mind for life we never forget this experience. Here I am confused from where I should start my experience? I am sharing my experience form the very beginning the day on which the interview was scheduled.  The interview was for the post of CA ARTICLE in a CA firm. It was the day 20 of February at 11 a.m. in south Delhi. I just wake at 7:00 a.m. and gets indulge in some of the daily routine activities such as nature’s call, exercising, breakfast and others. It took me around 9:00 a.m. to take bath. Then after I just get ready for the interview in semi-formal dress with casual jacket just to hide formal look and also because of I had cold. At sharp 10:00 a.m. I leave home to catch metro to reach the location. At 11:15 a.m. I just take exit from the metro and move forward by walking to cover 1.5 p.m. distance. It took me around more than half hour to reach the location just because of google map, I hope you can understand.

ENTRY IN OFFICE

 After reaching the office there is a senior article who is the article cum receptionist. He is the only person responsible for attending candidates for interview and to serve them. He took me into his second office where candidates have to wait for their turn. We both sit there and mutually asking questions with each other about the qualifications, experience, firm profile, clients, range of work there. The whole discussion continues around 10-15 minutes. Then he offered me what would I like to have tea, coffee or water. I politely urged to him for water just to keep my hydration level up. Well in the whole discussion he mostly focuses on describing the future plans of expansion, present clients, present working areas.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

At 12:00 pm I was at the office where the interview was conducting. I opened the door and enters into the office and see a man with long hair, wearing optical and formal dress is just sitting in front of me. He is the interviewer who was taking the interview. I wish good morning to him, the same he replied to me and told me to sit on the chair. I took the chair pull it back and sit down on it confidently. Then start the interview process his first question where is your cv and I replied sir I mailed you but due to some issue couldn’t bring the hard copy. Then he ordered to his assistant to print the cv of me from the system. Then he took 5 min. to review my cv and he put up questions one by one. Such as which group you cleared, questions from the costing, income tax, company law, strategic management etc. I answered few of the questions. Then he trying to judge me on the basis of my marks, his next question was you get only 50% in group1, and you pass costing at the edge. His next question why you joined too late, one of the statement he speaks to me is just like torn to me. his statement was “At the age of 22, I was a CA and you are just at 2^nd level.” then he asked about my parents, brothers and sister. After that he ask about my hobbies and interest? I told to him that my interest in blog writing, playing cricket, listening music. He suddenly asks what kind of blogs I write on what topics? I answered I write on the different perspectives of life and on current issues. He appreciates me for this especially for blog writing and advise me to continue this for life long. I thanked to him promise to do so. In the end he explained his expectations and rule regulations of his firm. Now he over to me for any questions in my mind. I ask about the kind of work, stipend, leaves for study? Then in the end he asked from me from when I can join? I replied him from the next month because I had to complete my commitments by the end of this month. I said I will confirm you in evening whether I will join or not. It almost took 30 minutes for the whole interview process and finally its over. Then he also offered me what would I like to have tea, coffee, water. I simply said nothing sir. Then I leave the office at 12:35 pm and return to home at 1:30 pm.

MORALE:“BE CONFIDENT ON YOUR OWN BECAUSE THE OTHER ONE TRYING                TO DOMINANT" 
          
          “PEOPLE WILL TRING TO JUDGE YOU ON THE BASIS OF YOUR                     MARKS, BE READY TO SHOW YOU ARE MUCH MORE THAN THAT.”
