LIFE IN ORIENTATION PROGRAMME !! INTRODUCTION In the whole journey of CA course, a student life gets busy with many books, exams, amendments, notes, coaching’s and similar other stuff. He or She used be the most busiest person on this planet during this journey and also a CA student’s brain gets fully loaded with lots of theoretical knowledge but when it comes orientation course it feels that yes we are learning first time without any books, notes, paper etc. something which is completely practical in life and trust me this feeling here can only be understood by a CA student. CONCEPT Students will learn so much in these 15 days by the 15 different faculties who shared their knowledge, life experience, and some pro tips for making our career and life better and successful in future. I think this formula of 15 days= 15 faculties is wonderful, every day there is a new personality, nature, learnings, behaviour, attitude and mindset. This is an amazing process in
MY JOURNEY IN CA FOUNDATION!!
INTRO
Hello everyone today I am feeling so excited
that I am sharing with you all my ca student journey till now. The reason
behind sharing my story is simply just to create awareness among my junior
students or who will going to enter in this course in future, so that the
mistakes which I had committed in my journey they will learn from that and save
their time, efforts, money. Also, I will be very happy and satisfied if my
story brings a positive impact in life of any one or more students. I have learned so much throughout this
student journey not just in terms of
theoretical knowledge but also grooming my overall personality. In 2years of
journey so far, I meet with many professionals, students, teachers, faculties,
all of them directly or indirectly taught me many life lessons which I always
be remember in my life. I am trying to explain you each and every insight of my story in depth
and all the experiences, understanding, learning which I gained in this course
till now, so you will get maximum benefit from it. Presently I am an
intermediate level student who is preparing for second group and also looking
for article ship.
AFTER
12TH CLASS
I
heard first time the name of CA course in class 11 where one of my
friend’s elder brother pursuing this but at that time, I was not sure whether
in future I will pursue this course or not. In class 12 my economics teacher
has said something which makes me motivated to do this course. She said
“although many of you will pursue this course but at the end only one or two
will become ca”. the statement given by her makes me so determined that I will
be had to do this course. After completing class 12 in the year 2015 many of my
friends were register themselves in ca course but due to lack of guidance,
knowledge, and resources I make up my mind not to pursue ca course after 12th
class wait for some time to gather more information regarding its
opportunities, fields, scope and understanding myself whether I will be able to
do it or not. Then I focussed myself first
to complete graduation from regular college then after I will pursue ca.
AFTER
GRADUATION
After completing my graduation in the year
2018 with 1st division from Zakir Husain Delhi College(Eve.),
University of Delhi now I am interested in doing either CA or LLB. I had two
options either CA from ICAI or LLB from Delhi university, both are so exciting
for me. So, I decided to give the entrance examination of both the courses.
First, I give the entrance exam of LLB in june2018 in which I got 186 rank but the last cut off was for who get
166 rank. So, in LLB course I will not be able to get admission. In may2018 I register
myself for ca foundation course of which exams are to be held in Nov. 2018.
Secondly, I give the foundation exams and luckily, I had been cleared it.
That’s how I entered into the ca course of which I have no idea how will I
complete it.
WHY
CA AND WHY NOT OTHER PROFESSIONAL COURSES?
Well if you ask me why I don’t pursue any other professional course, I think
I can’t answer you because I don’t have any reasons for that. But if you ask me
why ca then I can tell you that I have
lot of reasons to pursue this course:-
- ·
I want to be in the category of rarest
of rare and of course number of ca’s in our country was so limited.
- ·
I want to add some prefix with my
name, which gives me social status and recognition in the society.
- ·
All, I have heard that ca is one of
the toughest exams in the world and after completing this course I also became
toughest person.
- ·
Also, I want to do something that is
unique and special. In my family and relatives till no one who have even heard
about CA course or know a CA and pursued before me this.
- ·
The kind of knowledge of various
subjects incorporated in this course, I don’t think it can be found in any of
the other course.
·
One thing which I personally believed
from inside the heart that this degree can fulfil all my dreams.
FOUNDATION
LEVEL(FIRST HURDLE)
WHAT
IS FOUNDATION?
In this level there are four papers each of
100 marks which need to be cleared with at least 40% in each paper and 50%
aggregate i.e. 200/400 you are required to move on next level. The subjects
are:-

Principle and Practices of Accounting. |
2.
Business law and English. |

3.
Business economics and Business
commercial knowledge. |
4.
Mathematics, Statistics and Logical
Reasoning |
The
first two subjects were subjective in nature or I can say descriptive and the
last two exams were of objective in nature or tick mark based. All the subjects
were not so difficult for me I had already familiar with most of the topics but
I find very difficulties in law subject and mathematics. These two subjects
were of my weak zone I can say. But despite of this I never lose hope, I carry
on my studies on daily basis via self-study and took help from YouTube and
books provided by the institute. The examination of foundation was a completely
new experience for me. The answer sheets, question papers, exam centre and also
the rule that all the subjective exams are to be written by only black ball
pen. I had given my all the exams confidently. Somehow by god grace and my hard
work I will clear it in 1st attempt. The result announced in
Jan.2019. I studied the whole course on my own without taking any coaching
classes but took help from YouTube. This was a great achievement for me. Now I
will be confident that yes ca is my cup of tea. I feel happy from inside my
heart and somewhere I know this was just a beginning.
WHY
FOUNDATION FIRST AND WHY NOT INTER?
Although had registered for foundation course
but because I had completed my graduation, I have also an option for
registering direct into intermediate course i.e. direct entry route. But there
is also a story behind this. During graduation I had gathered so much
information about ca course its curriculum, structure, duration, fees, etc.
after considering following points i.e.:-

First my family financial conditions
were not so good and ca is totally new field for me. No one is there in my
family or relatives to guide me.
·
Second there is lack of resources so I
could not afford to waste it, so I decided to register for foundation
course instead of intermediate course
because at that time fees for foundation was RS.9000 and for intermediate was
RS. 18000.
·
Third point which I considered was
that foundation course I can manage on my own via self-study but for
intermediate course I need to take coaching classes which cost around RS. 60000
for both groups.
·
Fourth and last point is that when I
saw a video of very famous CA guiding ca students, he told us to go for
foundation first not directly for intermediate because in that year ca
institute has restructured the whole course and introduced lots of changes. So,
his advised go for foundation course, this will help you in deciding whether ca
is your cup of tea or not.
Because of the above reasons I choose
to give foundation first.
This was whole experience and my story as a
ca foundation student. I hope you like it and feel connected with it. I will be
very happy if atleast anyone from you will learn from my mistakes and don’t try
to repeat it.
